The Studio

A spacious apartment ideally situated to enjoy the forest and beaches of this beautiful National Park.

Sitting in the village of Boldre, Spout House Studio is surrounded in its own history. Once the working studio of Victorian artist Creswell Hartley Desmond RA and his sister Phoebe, a wood carver (A sample of Creswell’s work can be seen at St Barbs museum in Lymington, and the Lectern at St John’s in Boldre was designed by Creswell and carved by Phoebe, the central panel of the North Window is dedicated to the family) The accommodation has been tastefully converted into a first floor apartment Holiday Let.

It sleeps up to 6 in two bedrooms and sofa bed in sitting room. Cot and High Chair available (please bring own cot linen). All Bed linen, towels, electricity and gas central heating included. Pets welcome by request.

Accommodation

The Accommodation is accessed by external stairs to a balcony (with child gate) into a large, airy living area comprising a wood burner, 32 inch flat screen TV with Free view, DVD, Stereo, WiFi and dining area. There is a selection of books, games and DVDs for all ages.

Via a fully fitted Galley Kitchen with electric oven, fridge and microwave, are the bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC.

Master Bedroom, to the back of the property has a King size bed with sitting area (the sofa providing an extra bed making it into a family room).

Bedroom 2, to the front of the property has two 3 ft beds and storage space.

Bathroom has bath with shower over, hand shower and basin. Separate WC.

The Garden is private and enclosed to accommodate the young and the four legged visitors! There is patio furniture, gas barbecue secure bike storage, a selection of outdoor toys and access to the washing machine.

Going through the main garden one can enjoy the water meadow and river with the open forest and two good pubs all within a short walk.

Centrally situated to enjoy the whole area, a couple of miles south we have the Georgian market town of Lymington with museum, marinas, golf course, shops and ferry terminal to Isle of Wight. To the west, a shingle beach at Milford on Sea, Crabbing from the quay at Keyhaven and further into the forest the Witches of Burley, Ringwood Brewery and the sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole. Heading north is Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst the capital of the New Forest and home to Alice in Wonderland, and Southampton. Finally we turn east through little hamlets to the privately owned village of Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard and the National Motor Museum.

Whether travelling on foot, by bike or in the car, The New Forest National Park has something for everyone and The Spout House Studio offers an excellent starting point for exploring and a comfortable environment to relax in.
